I spend too much time reading blogs, flicking through magazines, getting lost on Instagram/Etsy/Pinterest, window shopping on the internet and visiting real shops too (ok, mostly supermarkets and Ikea) so I feel I have a pretty good feel of what’s available on the ‘interior high street’ that's not going to break the bank. People who have followed me a while will know I have an addiction to H&M Home and am guilty of weekly checks on their new arrivals. I don’t buy something every week though honest! I limit myself to only buying something I need and love and can’t stop thinking about week after week. (If I forget about it, it wasn’t the one!).

So here are some of the highlights of pieces you ask me about on Instagram that I wasted hours researching before buying for our home.

Every year I browse so many of the ‘Best Christmas Gifts’ lists, and regardless of whether it’s high street, indie, mega bucks or bang on trend for that year, they just never do it for me. I’m always a bit ‘meh’ and rarely get the goosebump feeling that tells me I want something on the list, or that I must buy it for someone I love. There is just too much choice…
