I’m Katie. The Boy is Will.

I have a full-on career in the automotive industry and a part time obsession/hobby for interior design. Or as my partner Will calls it, ‘faffing about the house!’ I find I spend all my spare time and money on planning, sourcing, decorating, up-cycling, curating and crafting treasures for our home. And I LOVE every minute of it.

The Boy (Will) makes me laugh every single day with his constant eye rolling, tutting, doubts, interrogations, rejections of my ideas and his eventual reluctance to cave in and say ‘just do what you want’. He just doesn’t get it. Never has and never will. But he keeps me on my toes and I love sharing the moments we have together with my Instagram followers as we build/create/squabble in our forever home.

I should just add that I’m not a professional, this is not my living, I am not claiming to be a writer, curator, or any good at interior design. I just like sharing (probably too much) and having jokes with people who share the same passion for interiors, DIY and craft. Simples.

So we’ve established I’m Katie and I live with Will. I initially called him ‘The Boy’ on instagram to keep our life a little private and it’s just kinda stuck. He is after all younger than me, has adorable floppy blonde hair, makes a living out of ‘marketing’ video games, plays and watches way too much sport for my liking and always believes he is right. I’m not being rude in labelling him as ‘my Boy’ guys. He is a Boy at times, but I couldn’t imagine life any other way.

Here is just a little preview of the most recent snippets of our home from Instagram. I’m afraid I don’t post daily, or at specific times. I promised myself when I started the account that I would only post when I had something to share - be it a Moment, a Memory or a Message. It’s my 3M mantra and it guides my content quite nicely and more importantly it keeps me focussed on the jobs that need doing every day like working, eating, sleeping, living, cleaning, washing, cooking, having fun with my family and pals as well as the bigger projects and hobbies around the house.
